How to send web articles to Kindle DXG, Nook, Sony Reader, ...

Klip.me’s “Send to Kindle” is a small tool based on Kindle’s Personal Document Service. It’s been designed to offer a quick way for pushing web content to Kindle, so you can read an article or news later on your device.

There are already many services like Klip.me’s “Send to Kindle”, all these are based on Kindle’s Personal Document Service, send web content freely through WiFi and only available for Kindle 3. For other eBook Reader, there have been lacking similar tools.

A new tool of Klip.me - Klip Deliver — is easy to implement the similar feature for eBook Reader user.

How to send Hacker News comments to Kindle

I like reading Hacker News, which always contains many interesting argumentations. But it is very hard for me to concentrate on them during the work time, and besides my English is quite poor.

So I try to send some interesting comments to Kindle.

The page layout of Hacker News is brief, but it is not suitable for Kindle.

First, Kindle has some problems in supporting the table. Big table will not display complete, so we need “un-table”.

Second, HN has an indented structure which shows the relation among these comments, but it is hard for Kindle 3 to display enough contents with such a limited screen.

Thus, we find an alternate way that is using the numerical symbols. For example, we can use the 2.1.5 to represent the hierarchical structure. Then we can basicly show the relation among the comments on Hacker News.
